In the first days of summer (especially hot this year), we present you a new release from the Sonoj project from far Khakassia republic - a debut album called Mostly Quiet. Sonoi means "sounds" in Esperanto. Once upon a time, the project began as a kind of audio diary, in which records were entered with the current date instead of the artist's name. And now from under this sign comes out now melodic ambient, covered with detailed textures / amorphous leftfield / field and city recordings and many more.
Monumental (13 tracks for more than 70 minutes) and diverse work invites on a journey with the author to familiar and unexplored places through a variety of sound textures that were created using a huge arsenal of sounds - this is the interweaving of field recording (a lot), samples, analog and VST synths, sometimes even falling into non-aggressive noise. Petersburg artist Suuri-Pieksa also took part in the recording of 3 compositions. An interesting, light, holistic and varied album, ideal for contemplating (mostly) quiet summer evenings.
